What you get
An email and a 3-page PDF report
The email shows your score out of 100. The report is attached.

Your overview
Your score out of 100 and its three parts (technical, mobile speed, page content), the number of ranked keywords, your estimated monthly visits, the mobile PageSpeed score, the platform detected and your main keywords.
The checklist
All 15 checks with their status (compliant, to improve, critical or informational) and the fix for each item that needs one.
The action plan
Up to 5 actions, from most to least urgent, with the steps to follow for each.
What the report checks
An SEO analysis of the page you submit
The audit reads your page’s code as your server delivers it, your robots.txt file and outside search data about your domain. No access to your site or your Google accounts is needed.
Your keywords in Google
Up to 5 of the most searched keywords your domain already appears for, with their monthly search volume, your position and whether you show in the Google Maps local pack. It adds the total number of keywords your domain ranks for and an estimate of your monthly visits from Google.
Mobile speed
The Google PageSpeed Insights mobile performance score for the page analyzed. Below 70 out of 100, the action plan suggests fixes.
Page content (6 checks)
Title tag, meta description, H1 tag, Open Graph tags for social sharing, visible phone number and visible address.
Technical foundations (9 checks)
HTTPS, mobile display, canonical tag, robots.txt, sitemap (XML), LocalBusiness structured data. Three are informational and do not count in the score: Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager and Search Console.
How to read your report
What the numbers mean
The score out of 100
It combines technical (40%), mobile speed (30%) and page content (30%). It measures what you control on this page; your ranking also depends on the rest of the site, the links pointing to it and your competitors, which the full SEO audit examines.
The statuses
Critical: fix it first. To improve: a recommended fix. Compliant: nothing to do. Not checked or not measured: the data could not be obtained, and the item is left out of the score. Informational items do not count in the score.
Keywords and estimated visits
They come from an outside search database: they are estimates to help you get your bearings, not a measure of your traffic. Your real numbers are in Google Search Console. They do not count in the score.
The action plan
Start with the first action. The instructions follow the platform detected: WordPress, Shopify, Wix or Squarespace. On another platform, they stay general.

FAQ
Everything you need to know
Is the SEO audit really free?
Yes. The report is free, with no credit card and nothing to buy afterwards. If you want help with the next steps, the first consultation is free too.
How long does it take to get the report?
The report is produced automatically as soon as you send the form and arrives by email, usually within a few minutes. Nothing yet? Check your spam folder, then write to us at info@expertlocal.ca.
What do you do with my name and email?
They are used to produce your report and send it to you. For the analysis, only your website address is sent to outside services, including Google PageSpeed Insights. The report is sent by our email provider, and a record of your request is kept by Expert Local. If you tick the box for it, we may also write to you about our services. The providers we use, how long data is kept and how to withdraw your consent are described in our privacy policy. Read the privacy policy
Does it replace a full SEO audit?
No. This analysis covers a single page (the one you enter, often the home page), your robots.txt file and that page’s mobile speed. It does not crawl the whole site and does not look at your competitors, the links pointing to your site or your Google Business Profile. Those are part of the full SEO audit, the first step of our SEO service. See our SEO service
What sets this audit apart from a free online SEO tool?
Your report shows the keywords your domain already appears for in Google, with their search volume, your position and whether you show in the Google Maps local pack. The fixes follow your platform (WordPress, Shopify, Wix or Squarespace), and you keep the report as a PDF.
Which websites does it work on?
Any publicly accessible website, whatever the platform: the report recognizes WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace and Webflow, among others. A site behind a password or one that blocks robots cannot be read properly. Because the analysis reads the code your server delivers, a site whose content only appears through JavaScript may show alerts worth double-checking.
Does anyone look at my report?
The report is produced automatically, with no human review. We are notified of every audit. If you want to go through it together, book a free discovery call. Book a discovery call
Do I need to give access to my site or my Google accounts?
No. The analysis only uses what is public: your page, your robots.txt file and outside search data. No password and no access to Google Analytics or Search Console is requested.
